NEO-NEIGHBOURS

A list of friendly neighbour sites and overall interesting projects on Neocities

Saikyo Central

Saikyo Central
One of the first sites I followed after joining Neocities. Saikyo Central is always a blast to visit. Pyu has an excellent eye to detail and it shines through on his site. I love the beautiful CSS themes and the overall retro feel of the site. I like reading this thoughtful media reviews, blog page and the many playlists he maintains.

Caesthoffe

Caesthoffe
Caesthoffe's website just screams punk rock! They are a very creative person. From drawings, to poetry to shrines about the things they love, Caesthoffe really puts their heart into all of it. I particularly like the shrines about quirky stuff like the Washington State Dept of Transportation. Plus, any friend of whale sharks is a friend of me. I encourage you to check out the wonderful and creative DIY page featuring their zines. Keep on rocking Aurora!

I-Land

I-Land
The I-land, formerly known as Pumbatown, is an internet adventure where you wander through the life and mind of Sonia, its creator. Apart from the beautiful hand drawn scenes I love how Sonia was able to use point-and-click adventure as a vessel for a personal page. I-land is mysterious, immersive and personal but always entertaining because of the videogame elements. I've found myself coming back to I-land, discovering new places on each visit.

Occasionally Content

OC
Murid does not lie when he promises us occasional content, but I always look forward to reading his poetic thoughts. His drawings are wonderful and I love his distinct line patterns and black and white style. Murid has a way of downplaying his work on his site, but I think he is a very talented person. I would definitely read his novel if he ever wrote one.

Gold Hill Mall

Gold Hill Mall
Gold Hill Mall is a new immersive webcomic project where you can browse through the mall and discover the characters and their stories along the way. I'm particularly enjoying Abigail's storyline so far. Webmaster Violet has a great sense of humor and really cares about the characters she creates.
