It's official, MIDIs are cool again. You can easily find MIDI files archived personal websites. They have been preserved well because of their tiny file sizes. Most MIDIs are fan made and there was a very lively scene of people sequencing existing music into MIDI files. There were also plenty of people making original music in the MIDI format. This was a time before MP3 files existed. Because of their small size anyone with an internet collection could exchange and collect MIDI files. I like how technological limitations sometimes create a distinct style and MIDI fall into this category as well. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but I appreciate the cozyness of the format.

Currently there are 496 files in the hall.

For frequent vistors I will mark newly added files in purple. Meaning that those files were added the last time I updated the MIDI-hall.

Files with a thumbs-up behind them are my personal recommendations. MIDIs which I think are of good quality or simply songs I like.
